Richard L. Willey

Richard Lee Willey 83, of Granbury, TX, formally of Rushville, IN, passed away April 24, 2024 in Ft. Worth, TX.

He was born April 26, 1940 in Rushville, IN a son the the late Walter and Marjorie E. Montgomery Willey.  He married Gloria Shepherd May 26, 1962 and she passed away August 1, 2022.  They were married over 60 years.  They were blessed with one son Rick Willey and four grandchildren, Joshua, Jasmine, Jay and Jon Willey all of Texas.

Richard served and trained as a mechanic in the Air Force from 1961-65.  He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years and was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge prior to his retirement and relocation to Texas.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and hitting the links with friends in later years. Dick and Gloria made their life in Rushville and were wonderful neighbors to all in our community..

He is also survived by his sisters, Judy (Charles) Colvin, Rosie (Jerry) Herbert of Rushville and Becky (Mike) DeVoe of Shelbyville.  They also have several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister Doris Bowles, an infant sister, Kimberly, and brother Hugh Willey.
