Barbara G. (Schmid) Pea

Barbara Gail Pea, 79, of Rushville, IN, passed away at April 20, 2024 in Indianapolis.

Barbara was born in North Lake, IL on January 1, 1945, a daughter of the late Florence (Stepp) and Eugene Schmid. She married Thomas G. Pea in May 1993 and he survives. She was a homemaker. She and Tom camped at Quakertown Park on Brookville reservoir through the years. She was a lover of all animals, birds, cats, and anything furry or feathery she could feed. She was also well known for being a cake decorator through her life. She and Tom found great happiness in decorating their home for Christmas each year.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by a daughter, Diane (Robert) Elliott, two grandchildren Kylie (Jeff) Pine and Ciera (Robert) Burkett. Three great grandchildren, Elaina, Khloe & Morgan will also miss her. Barbara is also survived by a brother Scott Schmid; a sister Jane (Robert) Bruns.  She remained friends with former husband, Ralph Stinson. She was predeceased by her sister Diane.

Graveside Services will be 2 PM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Pastor John Wall will offer words of comfort. Please light a candle and share your memory with the family at www.ToddFuneralHome.com
